Description

6 days before closest approach, both planets where in the field of view of my TOA-150b with my QHY168C (APS-C format sensor). I made a recording with both planets in the image, with an exposure setting for Saturn. This made the moons of Jupiter visible. I made separate recordings with a smaller ROI on Jupiter and Saturn and added these to the image maintaining the space between the planets (a bit less than 41 arcminutes. Of the four Galilean Moons, Callisto was in Jupiter shadow and cannot be seen. Moons Rea and Titan are visible close to Saturn.
